I am not a person who love to eat junks. My father always against it when I was a kid. But, grandma would buy some beautiful delicate Japanese imported finger food, such as hardy crunch cookies or golden yellow honey candy. These has been very impressive in my mind till today !!! Most of cookies would keep on top of kitchen cabinet. Candies would would be hides in my father's medicine cabinet by my father. But nor my little brother or me would ever think about to sneak in and get some. Kids live in the small town of Bei-Gang. We have so much yummy food from street venders. There are traditional snacks like xxxxx with green beans or red beans filling after breakfast. Don't ever mention the afternoon treats or midnight snacks. Lots of people have this same eating habits, and you don't really see people who get overweighted. I always feel the traditional handmade food is very easy to please people. A bowl of simple noodle soup with few thin slices of dried bean curd and braised seaweed as a side dish or a small bowl of lu-tho-fan( braised ground pork in savor soy sauce. ) with fresh fish sticky soup. These simple food could keep me happy for a long while.
Now, people got too many processed food which made by machine or from the fridge. I'm not saying these are all bad, but because of easy to get and storage, so people get addicted to it. The most issues is this food either high in sugar or salt content, and the more you eat the higher calories you get and never fill me up.
I'm like my grandma, I would buy this snacks once for a while, as a special treat. But, if you feed me junks when I was outside. I would be very easy to loose myself. My husband always knows never feed me well is the top reason to keep me happy. Otherwise I would be just like typhoon arrived. No one want to see that happening. Haha! ~ I guess he is pretty smart !!!
Of course I don't mind have some snacks during the party or while we are watching movies ..... when people share the finger food is a nice joy thing to do. Just don't stuff your empty stomach with these snacks. You can satisfy your tastebuds, but always stay in control the quantity. These is like finding the balance in our lives between the freedom and restrictions! We still need to keep a few absurd things to fully enjoy our lives, right?
These baked kale Chips will totally out of your imagination. My kids and hubby was refused it a thousand miles away when they see it at the first sight. After my insisted rule that they have to try anything new in my house. Everyone tasted the flavorful, crunchy goodness, and it does like roasted seaweed thin slices.
Despite of the nonstop eating joy and disappear in seconds. Highly nutrition beneficial, less carbohydrate.
